Bleeding Lipstick

Problem: I like sheer lipsticks, but every one I've tried feathers into the lines around my mouth and looks like a mess! I've tried several of the ultra-
matte lipsticks, but they look so hard and dry, and pencils are useless. I'm too young to have this problem. Is there something out there I've missed?

Solution: No, you haven't missed anything; sheer lipsticks (which are just glosses in a stick form), both the expensive and inexpensive ones, are
slippery and don't stay put. Pencils are helpful, but they can't contain a creamy, glossy lipstick all day. If you have any lines around your mouth—and
that's not necessarily related to age—sheer, creamy lipsticks and lip glosses will follow those pathways. Your only option is to give up the notion of a
completely sheer look. Try a semi-matte lipstick such as Elizabeth Arden Semi-Matte, Clinique Long Lasting Soft Matte, M.A.C. Matte, or Revlon
Absolutely Fabulous Lip Cream. Once you apply the lipstick, blot with a tissue until it looks more or less sheer. I know it won't have the sheen you're
looking for, but it also won't travel into the lines around your mouth. Don't try to put a gloss over that; it will only encourage the lipstick to bleed. Matte
lipstick isn't a shield that's impervious to the effect of the gloss. Gloss creates movement no matter what it goes over. Perhaps the best option is to try
Cover Girl's Outlast or Max Factor's Lip Finity. These are semi-permanent lip stains that don't move and really do stay on, and on, and on.

Small Lips
Problem: I have small lips. Any lipstick color I put on seems to make this more noticeable. What should I do?

Solution: To deal with small lips, do not over-line them to make them look larger. The technique of creating a new lip line works great in photographs,
but in real life it looks like you missed your mouth. And, to keep up the look you have to touch up your lipstick and pencil the second any wears off. What
works best is lining just to the outside or edge of your true lip line with a natural-colored lip liner. Do not wear dark lipstick because it will make your lips
look smaller. A true red or any vivid color will make your lips look bigger. You can always consider cosmetic surgery procedures that enlarge lips, but that
would be a last resort after experimenting with lipstick options.

Take care of your Lips
It is a universal truth that a beautiful smile just lights up a day. Lips give your face a very lively and beautiful look and for that matter you need to take
care of them.

The most common problems of lips are dark lips and chapped lips.

Dark Lips: The skin of lips is does not contain melanin, which is a major thing that protects our skin. Our lips are covered by a thin layer of skin and on
the inside they are covered with a transparent mucous membrane. If you have dark lips then you need to do the following things:

- You need to increase the intake of fruits and vegetables.
- You need to stop smoking.
- You also need to avoid lipstick, as to prevent any chemical contact to lips.
- You can apply a gentle film of oil on your lips and can leave it there for quite some time.
- You can apply a lotion of coconut mixed with oil and almond and can apply it on your lips and leave it there overnight. You can do that for about two
weeks to obtain the best results.
- You can massage your lips with a mixture of half teaspoon of glycerin and a half teaspoon of castor oil mixed with half teaspoon of lemon juice and can
leave it overnight. You will definitely see a huge difference.
- Apply cream from curds with saffron on your lips.

Cracked Lips:
You must know the fact that cracked lips do not produce oil as does your skin because there are no glands to produce oil. The most common reason
that the lips crack is because of an allergic reaction to cosmetics, skin infections, extreme weather conditions like excess sun and wind exposure, as well
as biting of the lips or vitamin B deficiency. If you have cracked lips you have to do the following

- You can protect your lips by applying a plain cream.
- You can apply peanut butter or coco butter to your lips.
- You can grind some rose petals and then put cream on top of the milk and apply them to your lips, which will heal your cracked lips.
- You need to add vitamin B and C to your diet.
- You can mix two drops of glycerin with one teaspoon of cream on top of milk and can apply it to your lips and can cure your cracked lips and give them
a smooth and shiny look.
- You can mix proportionate quantities of nutmeg, turmeric and fresh butter and can apply gently to your cracked lips.
- You can moisturize and exfoliate your lips. You can exfoliate your lips by applying facial scrub facial scrub gently to your lips with your fingers.

Common Care For Lips:
- You can apply cold cream or moisturizers before you apply lipstick.
- You can have a pink color to your lips by applying beetroot juice.

It is a universal truth that a beautiful smile just lights up a day. Lips give your face a very lively and beautiful look and for that matter you need to take
care of them.

Cold Sores
Whether you get a cold sore (or fever blister) with or without your cold, they're painful and unsightly. To ease the pain at home, avoid foods that can
irritate them further such as salty and acidic foods. Orange juice, ketchup, and spicy foods all have a tendency to cause pain and irritation.

Over-the-Counter remedies such as Aspirin and Ibuprofen can help reduce cold sore pain as long as you're not pregnant and have no history of
stomach ulcers. Make sure you read the warning labels on all OTC drugs to make sure they're right for you.

Benzocaine is a local anesthetic ointment that can numb the area and provide much needed relief. The herpes virus that causes cold sores is
contagious, so do your best not to spread it. Avoid skin-to-skin contact, sharing utensils, cups and towels until your sores have completely healed.
